Nashville's flooding impacts all musicians

After the flooding here in Nashville, the dissipating ripples are still stinging the musicians and there ability to work. Not only did musicians have their homes devastated including so many in-home studios, but their loss of instruments and some venues as well. The Nashville community has really come together to help but like the oil spill in the gulf, the clean up, rebuilding of homes and personal recording business' will take a long time. The economy was already affecting the musicians here for about the last 16 months. Unfortunately, a lot of companies cut back on the one thing that was deemed an "indulgence", music for their event. I hope that companies planning a Nashville visit in the future will take coming to "Music City" personal and make music and entertainment a priority for their events.
